Welcome to the Back to School Blast!
Getting your family prepared to head back to school, can be difficult especially after a long, fun-filled summer. Here are a few of our favorite Back to School Tips to help you along the way.
1. Back-to-School Supplies Checklist - Backpack? Check. Pencils? Check. Safety scissors? Not Yet. Use the same checklist each time you head out to grab supplies, to keep track of what you have already purchased and the things you still need to. These are also handy if you have more than one child. Simply print 2, 3, 4 list and add their name to the top.
3. Adjust bedtime - During the summer I let my daughter have a later bedtime. A couple of weeks before school starts I have her start going to bed a little bit earlier each night until she reaches her regular school night bedtime.
4. Schedule - Get a dry erase board and hang it where everyone in the family will clearly see it. Use it to make a weekly calendar with everyone's daily schedule. This way no one will get confused about dates, times or forget a school event.
5. Get them excited - Kids don't always like for summer to end and going back to school. Get them excited about it by letting them help pick out their school supplies or talking about some of the fun events that will be coming up at school. Make it fun:)

Best tip: get there early the first day because there is going to be some chaos!
That is very true, Renee. It usually takes a week or so for them to get everything running smoothly.
My best back to school tip is to plan ahead with lists, sales & coupons, and share the load if possible.
