Beltane - 10 Tales Of Witchcraft #bookreview

Beltane - Ten Tales Of Witchcraft

I recently read Beltane - Ten Tales of Witchcraft edited by Rayne Hall.  This is a book of ten stories by different authors and writing styles.  Each author shares their visions of witches and witchcraft.  To reflect each author's individual voice, you will find both American and British words and spellings.

I have always been intrigued by the history of witchcraft and stories of witches.  Therefore I was looking forward to reading this one and with Halloween around the corner, what better time.

Some witches are good, some evil and some in between.  The witches in these stories practice different kinds of witchcraft including Traditional, Stregheria, Santeria, Wicca and more. The following are the ten stories included in this book.

Accidental Witch by Liv Rancourt
This wiccan may get more than what she bargained for.

Alba by Karen Heard
Who is the witch behind the murders at Bindings Wood?

By The Pricking Of My Thumbs by Jonathan Broughton
Never has there been a performance of MacBeth like this.

The Cat Maiden by Mertianna Georgia
An interesting twist to a love story.

The May Lady Vanishes by Pamela Turner
Will someone tear this coven apart?

Hanging Witch Of Painter Mountain by Lawrence Barker
Life or death is measured on Painter Mountain.

Thirteen Steps by Debbie Christiana
      Karma is a bitch.

Four Bony Hands by Rayne Hall
     The tables are turned.

Mishmash Magick by Carole Ann Moleti
Sometimes you've got to be creative to survive the Bronx.

Love Magick by Debra Dunbar
     Young love and magick.

I enjoyed reading all of the ten stories and they kept my attention from beginning until end.  I also liked that each story and character was totally different.  You didn't know what you were going to get next which kept it so interesting to me.  I did wish that a few of the stories would of continued a little more, as I felt like I was kind of left hanging.

One of my favorite stories was Alba.  It had me totally entralled right from the beginning and I couldn't read it fast enough to see what was going to happen.

It's a great collection of short stories.  You'll experience love and hate, good and evil, mystery and intrigue, and more all in one book.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

    Take The Adventure With
    Cree and Scooter

Cree and Scooter Hit The Slopes In British Columbia  is the first book of a global series by Tammy Sutton-Brown.  Cree and Scooter teaches young children about about other places and cultures around the world.

Cree and Scooter Hit The Slopes in British Columbia

Cree is a 7 year old little girl who is given a toy chameleon, named Scooter, by her brother.  Cree soon finds out that Scooter is a very special chameleon.  Scooter comes to life in Cree's dreams and they travel, learn and have fun-filled adventures.

In this first book, Cree and Scooter travel to British Columbia.  They have a fun adventure while learning about Canada's places and people. While learning to ski, they even learn some words in French and so much more.

Cree and Scooter lets your kids use their imagination and they enjoy learning about the world.  My daughter, Rachel loves reading the story and likes the colorful pictures.  At the end of the story, there are bonus activity pages.

We are leaving for vacation in a couple of days and Rachel keeps telling me not to forget to pack her new Cree and Scooter book.  She plans on doing the activities while we are traveling in the car.  It will help keep her busy for our 1400 mile road trip.  I love seeing her excited about reading and learning.

    Fresh Passion Book Review

Michael D. Brown has written Fresh Passion: Get a Brand or Die a Generic
about building your personal brand and achieving success.  Michael has developed the Fresh Passion methodology from his own experiences and leadership positions at top companies.

The book Fresh Passion - Get A Brand Or Die A GenericI like the way this book is set up.  Each chapter starts with a quote from a famous and successful person such as Steve Jobs and Donald Trump.  Each chapter has the six steps, tools and technology advice needed for following each part of the Fresh Passion.   There are several worksheets and self assessments to see your progress.

I really like the "Brownie Points" throughout the book.  Michael shares real life stories from his own  personal experiences.  It helps you to understand the ideas and development of the Fresh Passion methods.  I like reading about the whole journey, not just the great ending.

I would recommend this book to professionals in any field for the steps and tools to achieving your goals.  I find it especially helpful to those who work online.  One of the top questions I always hear internet marketers asking is, "Are you branding yourself?"    This is a good book to show you exactly how to do it.

    More about the author

Michael was the 7th of 10 siblings and very soon was faced with the challenge of being a creative provider for his family.  Ambitious for success, hungry for professional growth, and driven to help others, Michael has developed his core values of determination, ambition, and creativity from the lessons he learned with life experiences like his candy business.
Michael has spent time in a diverse set of companies, organizations, and industries, such as Murphy Oil (The Wal Mart Project), USF&G Insurance, BP, Wells Fargo Financial, San Francisco Foundation, Ford Foundation, Marriott, Amoco, Ralph & Kacoo’s Seafood Restaurant, Wendy’s International, along with a number of small independent business owners.

Disclosure:   I received a copy of this book for my honest review.  The opinions expressed are 100% my own based on my observations while reading this book.
