I remember looking forward to going prom dress shopping with my mom. Mom enjoyed picking out different suggestions for me and I loved trying them all on for her. Surprisingly, it never took me too long too find that perfect dress.
It was the late 80's after all, and now I can't believe I thought a couple of them were the "perfect" prom dress. My freshman year I wore a full length, pink and white striped off the shoulder gown. For some odd reason I can't remember my sophomore prom dress??? Junior year I wore a teal colored short and strapless dress which the green one below reminded me of.
Then for senior year (1990), I wore the lovely black dress pictured to the right and my friend is in the long white.

I've always liked the a-line style dress because it gives you the look of both a long and short style.
As you can tell, I seem partial to strapless also. It makes me feel more glamorous.
I like the full length fuscia gown below for feeling like a princess on that special night.
Do you remember what color or style your prom dress was? I would love to hear, just comment below.

My junior prom dress was black and green lace that my mom found at a thrift shop. Senior year we splurged a bit and bought a dark blue gown from bridal shop. I still have both of them in my closet.
You can find great dresses at your local thrift shop. I donated 2 of mine to the local theater group and 2 I have saved at my mom's house.
